Ubud is derived from Ubad, means medicine. Legend has it that a disease outbreak claimed many lives in the village. Nobody managed the situation until a Hindu priest meditated on a river and found out that leaves of a nearby tree was the solution to the catastrophe. Since then the site where the priest meditated was known as Ubad, or Ubud in its later development.
And as it name suggests, Ubud offers you a respite from life’s little problems, unique alternative to the beach, the mountains or the crowded city streets.
Ubud offers natural, countryside attractions. Daily “performances” include green rice paddies with water trickling from one level to the others, scores of ducks gathering on the newly cut rice, while sounds of countryside animals are ready to play you a concert. Tegalsari Bungalows offers 14 guestrooms individually designed with spacious terraces and equipped with IDD telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, minibar, safety box, bathtub with hot and cold shower, air conditioner and ceiling fan.
All room prices include tax, service and breakfast for 2 persons and are based on single/double occupancy.
